About ME

I'm originally from Hampshire, currently residing in the beautiful city of Brighton. In my free time I enjoy cooking time consuming and ostentatious food, taking my toddler to an endless parade of different parks, collecting grass from said parks for my tyrant guinea pigs (something that feels illegal but strangely isn't), writing short stories and devouring books, television and films.

 

As a spec writer, I like writing feature and TV scripts about difficult people who have reached a breaking point. I like giving a voice to characters with viewpoints or mental health problems not often discussed. I like writing about friends who become family, complicated romantic relationships (aren't they all complicated), dysfunctional families, the insanity of  motherhood and about the mundanity of life. I like finding humour in even the most heartbreaking situations. I also REALLY enjoy a montage.

 

I also have a history of working as a copywriter in marketing, travel and social media. Some companies I've worked with are Hertz, Big Earth Productions and Stitch Group.
